The 57 Jiffy Lube service centers in the Washington D.C. area are joining in the fight against breast cancer during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout the month of October. Helpful information from the American Cancer Society's Mid-Atlantic Division will be available at Jiffy Lube service centers in the Washington, D.C. region, including suburban locations in Virginia, Maryland and West Virginia. An educational card available at participating locations will provide information on early breast cancer detection techniques. The American Cancer Society reports that there is a greater than 90 percent survival rate if breast cancer is diagnosed in its early stages.

The American Cancer Society will also inform the public about breast cancer awareness, and the information card availability at Washington area Jiffy Lube stores, with local radio announcements.
